Grade 70 chain—commonly referred to as transport chain—is the most widely used tie down chain option. With 20% more strength than Grade 43, it provides the added durability needed to stabilize larger loads and is well-suited for most cargo securement applications.

Built from high-strength carbon steel, this chain is heat-treated and strength-tested for superior quality and reliability. A yellow zinc chromate finish offers corrosion resistance, conforms to ASTM B633 Type II standards, and makes the chain easy to identify as Grade 70.

The forged carbon steel clevis hooks feature a non-cradle design that fits through flatbed trailer rub rails for fast, secure connections. A shallow throat allows for easy chain attachment, while the cotter pin makes replacing damaged hooks quick and simple.

Note: Grade 70 chain is not approved for overhead lifting.

This chain is DOT compliant and meets or exceeds FMCSA CFR49 Section 393.104 and NACM Welded Steel Chain Specifications. Both the hooks and chain links are embossed with size and grade markings, making inspections quick and stress-free.
