Description:
Kusu Quartet cellist Mikhail Haknazarian joins us! Masterful performances of Brahms' masterpieces from his mature period! Coss Quartet cellist Mikhail Haknazaryan will join the Brahms Quartet! Piano Trio from Brahms' mature period performed by three musicians who have played together for many years! There is no doubt that Brahms was always sensitive to the shadow of Beethoven, whose overwhelming presence drove the young composer to master his technique and establish his own voice ("You have no idea what it is like to hear the footsteps of a giant (Beethoven) constantly behind you. ). The first piano trio was composed in 1854 and revised long afterwards (published in 1891), with all traces of Beethoven erased. The second and third piano trios recorded here were composed in 1880-82 and 1886, respectively, and clearly show that Brahms had already reached full maturity and established his own voice before the revision of No. 1. We hope you will take the time to enjoy these mature works performed by master musicians who are worthy of their time. Tokyo M-Plus
