The PlayStation GunCon Controller (also known as the G-Con in Europe) is a family of gun peripherals designed by Namco for the PlayStation consoles. These original controllers used traditional light gun technology, while newer controllers use LED tracking technology.

The GunCon 1 is designed to work on the older glass-tube CRT TV's and may not work on newer flat-screen LCD/LED/Plasma/etc. Please research your TV style before buying. These guns should work on PAL TVs.

Basically the GunCon 1 is designed for the PS1, the GunCon 2 for PS2, and GunCon 3 for the PS3. (Although there is ‘some‘ compatibility between models, it is best to get the right gun for your machine)

The PlayStation 1 has two main types of light guns: the GunCon 1 by Namco and the Konami Justifier (known as the Hyperblaster in Japan and Europe).
