Very unusual and rare hanging scale or balance with two Italian Horns, each featuring a slightly different stylistic look. One is gold filled and the other is silver on a gold mid length chain. The type of horn they are intended to copy is not a curled-over sheep horn or goat horn but rather like the twisted horn of an African eland or something similar. Over the years they have become rather stylized and now look less like a natural animal horn than they once did, however these horns represent the more real depiction of a twisted African eland horn which is rare and harder to find. Italian Horns are said to ward off the evil eye.
