I make each of these earrings using gorgeous, classic white freshwater pearls and gold filled beads, individually wrapped in wire — gold, rose gold or silver. I hammer and file each wire individually to create the unique paddle shape at the end. The pearls are faceted and polished, bringing out their natural shine. They are suspended from hand-formed earring wires.

It is a painstaking process to make these pieces, but the result is a pair of earrings that are lightweight, comfortable and so naturally beautiful.  

What is Gold Filled?

Gold filled is a layer of solid gold that has been bonded to a base metal — usually brass — using heat and pressure. The result is that, unlike regular plated metals, gold filled will not tarnish, the gold doesn't flake or wear off, and it will not cause allergic reactions even for those who are sensitive to plated metals. There is up to 600% more real gold in gold filled than there is in standard plating. Gold filled looks and feels just like wearing solid gold, but at a fraction of the price.
