There are more than a few old doll cradles out there, but this one struck me as especially charming, and of just the right scale, with very sweetly carved rockers nailed to the underside, and its original pain on the exterior, which now shows as sort of a putty color. Early 20th century I would think, with all pieces joined by tiny nails, and EL on the underside (the E carved in, the L just written in pencil). Very sturdy and sound, and great home for a smallish folk art doll or family of little carvings now.
