This Swedish brevkort (postal card) features a pre-printed 5 öre King Gustaf V stamp in green, further uprated with an identical 5 öre adhesive to meet the postal rate. The card bears the royal coat of arms of Sweden in green at the upper left and is addressed to the secretary of the Stockholm Rifle Association in Råsunda. Postmarked Österhaninge, the message on the reverse refers to the 1919 ammunition grant and the lack of interest in rifle shooting activities at that time.
A fine piece of Swedish postal stationery, it provides insight into the country’s military and sporting history during the post-World War I era. Its combination of postal use, historical context, and philatelic value makes it a desirable item for collectors of Scandinavian postal history.
