A very rare pair of stern carvings from the Brigantine Amity, built by MacGill at Bowling Glasgow in 1827. She was built for Ebenezer Roy Jnr & Ebenezer Roy Snr, as a Cargo Passenger vessel.
Amity was lost on Rocks at Port Askaig Islay while on a voyage to Archangel in Russia in 1843. On the back of each plaque is a copy of an old newspaper cutting & also has a penned written on a piece of paper some history to the vessel.
