For precasted horizontal gels of all types and for isoelectric focusing (IEF).The unit is an ideal entry-level system for both occasional and inexperienced IEF users. The flat-bed electrophoresis unit, equipped with rehydration and focusing trays, has been optimised to perform isoelectric focusing (IEF) with IPG (immobilised pH gradient) strips quickly, easily and reproducibly. It can also be used with precasted IEF or PAGE gels.The removable cooling plate made of a special ceramic enables effective heat dissipation and control. An optional recirculating chiller (e.g. PE51.1) can be quickly and easily connected to the cooling plate to ensure optimal operating temperatures for high-voltage electrophoresis. The adjustable “pick-and-place” electrodes and clipable electrode frame allow for flexible, application-specific use.

We recommend the use of the Accel 250 circulating chiller (Art. No. PE51.1) and the EV 3330 power supply unit (Art. No. A541.1).
