1-3/16 x 15/16 inch satin finish pewter St. Michael, Patron of Police Officers and Our Military Forces shield medal on a 24 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The front of the medal has a stamped image of St. Michael with the words "Saint Michael Protect Us". St. Michael is shown slaying Satan, who is depicted as a dragon. Saint Michael is referred to as a saint, but moreover, he is an Archangel, and is the leader of all angels and the army of God. He has four main responsibilities: to combat Satan, to escort the faithful to heaven at the hour of their death, to be a champion of all Christians and the Church, and to call men from their life on Earth to their heavenly judgement.
