Medium-Weight Static Dissipative Polyurethane Hose for Clean Rooms and Plastic Processing

The Flx-Thane SD Clear is a medium-weight clear static dissipative polyurethane hose reinforced with a bronze-coated spring steel wire helix. It delivers permanent, non-humidity dependent ESD protection (surface resistivity 10⁸–10¹⁰ Ohms/Square) with a .030" wall — thicker and more durable than the light-duty LD-SD. Meets requirements of FDA Title 21 CFR 177.1680 and 177.2600. Also available in black.

Where the Flx-Thane SD Clear Fits

This hose is positioned for clean room environments, plastic processing, CNC machine dust extraction, FDA powder transport, food grade material handling, oil mist extraction, wood dust collection, and general air handling where both static dissipation and a heavier wall are needed. The .030" wall gives it the tear strength for applications that would chew through a lighter-wall hose.

Compared to Other Static Dissipative Options

The SD Clear is the medium-weight ESD option. For a lighter-wall static dissipative hose, the Flx-Thane LD-SD is the light-duty version at .015"-.020" wall. For the broadest static dissipative application range, the FlexStat Hose is the hero product. For a non-static medium-weight hose, the Flx-Thane MD Clear drops the ESD and saves cost.
