Do you have a serger at home that you never use? Does the thought of rethreading it haunt you at night? Do you wish you knew how to use all the stitches it can do? Then you should sign up for this class! Here we will be discussing and practicing not only how to thread your machine for the different stitches, but how to use those stitches for different applications!

In this class, we will first be going over the different ways to thread you machine for the 4-thread, 3-thread, and 2-thread stitches, and then we will be practicing the different techniques associated with those stitches. This will be anything from how to gather with your 4-thread, how to do different styles of rolled hems, and even how to blindhem with your machine! All in all, there are 9 stitches, and 8 different techniques we will be doing! All the while, we will be discussing other helpful tips like how to care for your serger, helpful tools, as well as how to trouble shoot issues that arise!

It will be best to bring your own serger, this way you can get well acquainted with yours. Your serger also needs to be a 4-thread serger. If it only has 3-threads, this limits the stitches that it can do. You may still take the class, just know that you will not be be able to do many of the stitches and techniques. I will be reaching out to you to identify which serger you have so I may be prepared with how to guide you!

To take this class you do need to have a general understanding of how to thread your serger. We will be covering a lot of material during this time, and we will be covering threading relatively quickly. If you need more one-on-one time to learn how to thread your machine, I would recommend setting up a quick 1hour lesson sometime before the class so I can teach you these basics before the class begins.

If you are someone who does not own a serger, and is wanting to take this class to learn if they would like to have one, we do have classroom sergers available for use. However, since we only have two sergers, we only have spots for two people that are using ours.
