L-com's Cat6a ix Industrial TRGIX605LZ-BLK line of LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) cables are designed for applications where tough, shielded cables are required and PVC or other toxic combustible materials are restricted. The 10gig ix Industrial connectors used in their construction are next generation Ethernet connectors that are 75% smaller than a typical RJ45. This allows for parallel 10mm pitch mounting which is ideal for daisy-chaining and connector dense applications. They have durable metal shells with high EMC resistance, a robust rating of 5,000 mating cycles and up to 10gigbit through-put for Category 6a or 7 use. They are also backwards compatible with Category 5e and Category 6 applications. High resistance to vibration and motion along with a lockdown pins contribute to a 25N disengage force which allows ix connectors to function in spaces where a standard RJ45 would fail.

TRGIX605LZ series is built with an ix Industrial A key plug/male to a RJ45 jack/female. It is designed with a tough IEC verified LSZH jacket that meets CMX and VW-1 burn standards. It has flexible 26AWG stranded conductors and is fully PoE capable. Foil shielded F/UTP construction protects your application from data destroying EMI and RFI. The ix Industrial connectors meet IEC 61076-3-124 standards and are recognized as an official Machine Vision connector. TRGIX605LZ-BLK-3M is 3 meters in length. Jacket color is black. Low Smoke Zero Halogen is recommended for applications where halogen producing materials such as PVC is not allowed such as shipboard, aircraft, aerospace and defense use.

L-com Category 6a, 10g rated TRGIX Industrial series cable assemblies are available with LSZH jackets as well as cost-effective PVC and industrial, outdoor, high flex jacket options. Connector combinations for all jacket types in both ix A and B keys include: ix plug to ix plug, ix plug to RJ45 plug and ix plug to RJ45 jack. ix to RJ45 plug type cables can be used to bridge ix equipment with traditional devices that use standard RJ45 connectors. ix to RJ45 jack type assemblies can be used to changeover existing RJ45 male cables to ix if required. ix A key is designed for Ethernet use while ix B key is meant for non-Ethernet use such as signaling, serial or industrial bus communications. Typical ix Industrial uses include medical devices, Machine Vision cameras, factory automation, robotics, PoE (power over Ethernet) and industrial switches.
